Danny Batth: It's a team effort for Wolves
Captain Danny Batth today insisted Wolves' endeavours are a team effort as they look to make it three wins in a week at Cardiff City on Saturday.
They have rattled in eight goals without reply in home games against Rotherham and Fulham respectively since last weekend,
Kenny Jackett's side remain five points off the Championship play-off places as they head to the Bluebirds, who have struggled since coming down from the Premier League.
Wolves' forwards have been in sizzling form over that home double header with Bakary Sako scoring three times, Benik Afobe bagging a brace and Nouha Dicko also finding the net.
But centre-back Batth, who headed the opener against Fulham on Tuesday from Sako's corner, pointed to the defensive efforts against two teams who both had chances as another key factor.
The skipper said: "To be fair to the forwards, they have been lethal in the last two games but we are judged by clean sheets, too, particularly for me as a defender.
"What pleased me about Tuesday night was that Bakary was chasing players back, as well as creating and scoring goals at the other end.
"Long may that continue, but we won't get carried away. We don't take anything for granted, it's all about the hard work we put in on the training ground.
"Hopefully, that will stand us in good stead because there's no end of tough teams to play in this division. We go to Cardiff on Saturday and that won't be easy.
"After two good results at home, we will take our supporters there and look to upset them and get the three points. We are chasing the pack and we have to put the pressure on."
Sako shone with an assist and two powerful strikes in the 3-0 Fulham win as he built on his goal against Rotherham, who were put to the sword 5-0.
The 26-year-old added to his Wolves account for the first time since returning from representing Mali at the African Nations Cup, with Batth impressed by what he has seen.
He said: "We all know what Bakary can do when he gets the ball onto his left foot, as we see it every day in training.
"He's certainly doing well. He's been away with his country, put the hard work in since he got back and hasn't looked out of form."
