Video: Kevin McDonald focused on Wolves
Wolves midfielder Kevin McDonald's state of mind has 'improved,' head coach Kenny Jackett believes.
The Scot put in a solid display at Blackburn last weekend and is likely to start in midfield when Wolves host Hull City in tomorrow's televised Championship clash.
David Edwards signing a contract extension on Thursday highlighted the fact that McDonald is still without a new deal.
The 26-year-old was left out of a pre-season friendly at Burton Albion last month for being 'unsettled.'
Jackett said: "Nothing further's been talked about. Just a focus on the football and the start of the season and him producing top form, and I think he was very good against Blackburn.
"I feel his state of mind has improved since then (the Burton friendly). I think we know where we are.
"It was maybe a luxury I had with a month to the start of the season to go, conversations were quite fresh then so he wanted to go home, maybe speak to his dad, have that conversation and see where he was at.
"Had that been a league game, I'm sure that situation would have been different."
Several players remain out-of-contract next summer including McDonald, James Henry, Matt Doherty, Scott Golbourne, Tommy Rowe and Aaron McCarey.
The Wolves chief will be looking to sign more up in the near future, saying: "We'll certainly be talking and addressing those issues with the players.
"Whether that be now or in the coming months, yes we will. I'm delighted that Dave has signed, he's been a key player and to some degree can be unorthodox in terms of what he can bring.
"He's been a big player, I feel he's at his peak and over the next few years will do very well for Wolves."
