Kevin McDonald a doubt for Wolves

Midfielder Kevin McDonald is an injury doubt for Wolves' trip to Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow.

He is rated as 50/50 with an ankle injury picked up in Thursday's defeat to Leeds United at Molineux.

Conor Coady is McDonald's likely replacement if he doesn't make the Hillsborough clash.

But the Scot will be given until Sunday morning to prove his fitness.

Meanwhile, Wolves boss Kenny Jackett says Rajiv van La Parra's situation will be assessed in the next two weeks.

The Dutchman has scored two goals while on loan at leaders Brighton and is due back at Molineux on January 2.

Jackett said: "He's got a couple of gaols and assists which is very good. We'll be assessing it over the next couple of weeks.

"For him, for first team football, and for the wide right slot, we dovetailed him and James Henry for a year.

"It's a situation where James' form has been very good and kept him out.

"He's been keen to get the opportunity and so far at Brighton he's taken it.

"He's still a Wolves player and we'll assess the situation."

Of his squad for Sunday Jackett added: "Kevin McDonald is 50/50 with an ankle injury.

"We'll probably wait until Sunday morning to assess whether he's fit or not. Other than that everyone else is okay."
