Next Wolves manager: Odds tumble on Paul Lambert replacing Walter Zenga
Former Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is rumoured to be the choice to replace Walter Zenga as Wolves boss.
Lambert previously guided Norwich to promotion from the Championship in 2011 and had been out of work since leaving Blackburn, after helping them avoid relegation from the second tier of English football last season.
During his stint at Villa he helped keep them in the Premier League for two successive seasons, before being sacked in February 2015.
As talk of Lambert being the possible choice as the new Wolves boss emerged this afternoon, his odds shortened to 1/8 with some bookmakers.
Wolves currently sit 17th in the Championship, just three points above the relegation places and without a win in six.
They host Derby County in their next game, with the Rams just two places behind Wolves on goal difference.
The Express and Star's Tim Spiers understands that no announcement regarding the club's next manager is expected today.
