Neil Warnock: Wolves won't improve

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock doesn't believe Wolves can improve this summer – and said his team gifted them three points.

Warnock felt the Bluebirds' 3-1 defeat at Molineux was an unjust one and he wants to return on the first day of next season to put it right.

He also claimed that touchline antics during the game were 'a disgrace' – but wouldn't elaborate on specifics.

"You saw Wolves spent £12 million on one player," Warnock said. "We haven't spent a penny. We brought Greg Halford in.

"I think we can improve, I'm not sure they can.

"I don't think they won the game, I think we lost it really.

"I was quite comfortable with things early doors. Even when they scored, we looked dangerous.

"We got back to 1-1 and had a great chance, probably the easiest chance you will ever get, and Gunnar doesn't know how he missed it.

"Then it was a bad defensive situation for the second goal. It's been our strength, not to give goals away, but we got caught.

"I know they have spent a lot of money on their forwards but I thought Wolves were always vulnerable if I'm honest.

"I just said to the lads I hope this is the first game of next season. Looking forward to it.

"Some of the (touchline) antics were a disgrace really but that's life. We get used to that on the touch-line. It's usually me isn't it. I'm not expanding. My staff say I haven't got to."

The Wolves supporters gave Warnock plenty of stick during the game.

"That's normal isn't it," he said. "I love it. I nearly showed my backside to them but it was inappropriate today.

"I'm looking forward to giving them a good clap next time I come."
