Creative spark lacking admits Wolves boss Paul Lambert
Paul Lambert admitted Wolves lack creativity after drawing a blank for a third successive home game in a 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield.
Isaiah Brown's first half goal was enough to separate the sides on another frustrating night at Molineux.
Wolves' three best chances all fell to David Edwards but the Welsh international couldn't convert and the Terriers deserved claimed all three points.
It was the ninth occasion this season that Wolves had failed to score at home. They have the third worst home record in the league.
Lambert said: "In that last third we have to be more creative and break teams down, that's what we have to look at.
"It's about changing the philosophy and bringing players in. We need to be better up top.
"It's Jon (Dadi Bodvarsson's) first year in English football, Nouha (Dicko) is still finding his feet I think and needs a pre-season. We need a bit of help up top.
"If we can get that and get it the way I want it to go, we'll be a stronger side.
"The second half we did pretty well. I never thought there was much in the game considering where the two teams are in the league.
"I think the goal, Harry (Burgoyne) should have saved it, by his own admission. He never really had a save to make after that, but I thought he should have saved the goal.
"Arguably the best two chances in the first half were Dave Edwards headers - either side of the goalkeeper they go in."
Lambert made seven changes, three of which were enforced with Matt Doherty out with a hamstring injury, Andy Lonergan injuring his back in the warm-up and Mike Williamson unable to play two games in quick succession.
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly winger Jordan Graham's return after 15 months out injured, while Silvio and Joe Mason also made their first appearances in six and three months respectively.
Lambert added: "If you look at the positives, Jordan coming back after a long time out, Dom (Iorfa) coming back, Joe Mason, Silvio, young Morgan (Gibbs-White) getting a game for the future.
"There are a lot of things I wanted to see for myself. But we also know next season this club will be a lot stronger.
"I can't fault their effort. They need a bit of help, you look at Huddersfield they're a big physical side and a good football team - that's something we have to get to.
"Silvio's trained for a few weeks and I thought he done really well, from being a long time out. "There's a lot of players been out for a long time. Getting them back is a bonus. He's an experienced player, 29 years of age, well done to him.
"Mike Williamson, we felt it was a game too soon after Saturday.
"Andy Lonergan, he hurt his back in the warm-up. Cavaleiro, he was fine, I just wanted to see Jordan and Mason, they need games, I know what Cav can do. Romain as well, we just had to freshen it up."
