The Bundesliga club announced the friendly on their official website on Sunday, stating the match will be played in Zell am Ziller, in eastern Austria, on Wednesday July 12.

It's understood Wolves are in the process of arranging two more friendlies while in Austria and hope to announce full details in the near future.

Bremen finished eighth in the Bundesliga this year. Star players include German internationals Max Kruse (who score 15 goals this season) and former Albion loanee Serge Gnabry.

The four-time German champions last won the Bundesliga in 2004. Bremen also won the Cup Winners' Cup in 1992 and lost the 2009 Uefa Cup final to Shaktar Donetsk.

There are few links between the two clubs although Bremen sold Norwegian international striker Havard Flo to Wolves in 1999.

Four pre-season friendlies have now been arranged ahead of the 2017/18 season.
