Could there be a possibility that Lambert is staying and everyone is making a big deal with this situation?
It would take a sizeable - and very unlikely - u-turn for Lambert to stay at this point.
My understanding is that Fosun have decided to move on from Lambert and have been searching for his replacement for the last few weeks and when they've found their man they'll announce that Lambert has gone.
You can never say never in football - after all, he is still technically still in charge - but there's only a very small chance he will stay.
And the relationship looks irreparable to me now anyway.
Why haven't the club made any kind of statement? Have you offered them the chance to make one?
Absolutely, I speak to the club on a daily basis.
It's not something they'll be providing an update on until they've made their final decision.
While frustrating for all concerned you can certainly understand it.
If the appointment is one that the majority of fans are happy with then this two weeks of uncertainty will be forgotten.
Whether it's right to treat Lambert in this way is another matter altogether.
Porto have just sacked their manager. Everyone who looks at his record should realise that he's as good an option as Aitor karanka... So what are the chances of him coming here?
He's an interesting candidate and has very close ties to Mendes.
His CV is impressive too. Guided Rio Ave to two domestic cup finals in Portugal, finished 4th with Valencia and 2nd with Porto with a last-16 Champs League place.
Whether he'd drop to the second tier of English football remains to be seen but from what I gather he's on Wolves' shortlist.
Why do you think it has gone wrong for Lambert when only weeks ago it appeared he could do no wrong?
Disagreements over transfer policy played a big part of it but Fosun haven't been hugely impressed with results.
When Lambert took over in November the target was still the play-offs.
There are many reasons why Wolves have fallen short and Lambert would argue there were too many problems to fix in 6 months.
But ultimately it's a results business. And a cut throat one at that.
Tim, with recruitment last summer being so rushed and a lot of that crop now being sold, how can wolves recruit for this season without a clear manager and do you expect Weimann to go if Lambert goes?
Yeah we can all agree last summer was too rushed and with no clear strategy.
That's the frustration for some now, I think, with Lambert going, as the groundwork has been put in over the last few weeks for summer recruitment and it appears Fosun are now going in a different direction yet again.
I'd say Weimann's transfer will be unlikely if Lambert goes.
