George Saville and Jed Wallace leave Wolves for Millwall

The pair depart Molineux after three and two years at the club respectively for undisclosed fees.

Both players have previously spent time on loan with the London side, with Wallace twice making a temporary switch with the Lions including at the back end of last season when he helped Neil Harris' side win promotion from League One via the play-offs.

Wallace moved to Wolves from Portsmouth in May 2015 but suffered an injury that kept him out of pre-season and he struggled to nail down a regular place under Kenny Jackett. The arrivals of Helder Costa and Ivan Cavaleiro last summer reduced his first-team prospects further and a loan deal to Millwall followed in January. In total he made 23 appearances in Wolves colours, scoring twice.

Midfielder Saville signed from Chelsea for £1million in 2014. He returned from a loan spell at Millwall in January 2016 to enjoy a proflic run of five goals in 13 appearances at the end of that season. In 2016/17 he played 29 times, notably playing a key role in the FA Cup wins at Stoke and Chelsea, but spent most of his final Wolves appearances out of position at left back.

He played 57 times in total and netted six goals.

Wallace told Millwall's official website: "[The move] is something that's been in the pipeline since January when I arrived back on loan. I felt settled as soon I came back - the surroundings were familiar for me.

"I know all the lads and I get on well with the manager, so I'm delighted to be here for the next three seasons; hopefully we can have many more good times."

"I know I can affect games at Championship level and I know the manager is going to give me the opportunity to do that here. It was a bit of a no-brainer to sign.

"It's been a good break, but I'm looking forward to getting back in for pre-season training. We didn't want the season to end after being on such a high. It's a massive season for myself and for us."

Saville said: "I'm very happy and really looking forward to getting going. The manager wanted me in for the first day of pre-season and that makes everything easier for me and the boys.

"I'm delighted to be back down south. I know a few of the boys already – it's a good club with good staff. There's a buzz around the training ground following promotion - everyone is confident and excited to get going again."

Saville and Wallace's departures certainly won't be the last this summer. Ethan Ebanks-Landell is thought to be close to moving to Sheffield United, while the futures of Silvio and Paul Gladon are expected to be decided in the near future.

James Henry and Mike Williamson have already left after not being offered new contracts, while the club decided against signing Richard Stearman on a permanent deal.
