Wolves' trip to Middlesbrough has been moved to Good Friday – with a 7.45pm kick off.

The game was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday March 31 at 3pm.

However it will now kick off the evening before, to allow players longer to recovery ahead of fixtures on Easter Monday.

"The game has been brought forward to allow the teams additional recovery time ahead of the scheduled Easter Monday fixtures," Middlesbrough said.

The trip to the Riverside is one of the longest of the season and supporters will be inconvenienced by it taking place in the evening, as is the case with other long trips to Hull (Tuesday August 15) and Norwich (Tuesday October 31).

Another long excursion – the final-day away clash at Sunderland – will kick off at 12.30pm in line with the rest of the fixtures that day.

Four of Wolves' fixtures for next season have now been moved – and that's before Sky Sports has announced its first batch of live games.

The Boxing Day trip to Millwall has been moved forward to a 1pm kick-off, whilst the home clash with Birmingham City has been pushed back to Sunday April 15th at 1pm.

These changes have been made on the advice of the Police.

Meanwhile, Wolves' home game against Norwich City has been pushed back by 24 hours to Wednesday February 21st at 7.45pm, due to The Canaries' preceding fixture being altered.
