Wolves transfer news: Barry Douglas signs up at Molineux
Wolves have confirmed the signing of defender Barry Douglas in a two-year deal, with an option of a third.
Wolves previously revealed that they had agreed a deal in principle with Turkish club Konyaspor following an accidental leak regarding the news online.
The Scottish 27-year-old has become Wolves' fourth defensive signing of the summer.
Douglas made 34 appearances for the Turkish club last season, and has also had spells at Lech Poznan, Dundee United and Queen's Park.
“I am happy to be here and can’t wait to get going,” he said.
“I know Wolves are a big club and that this is an exciting challenge for me.
“They are going through a transformation at the moment and getting involved in that appealed to me.
“I share the ambition to play at the highest level possible and at a club like Wolves the opportunity is there to push for promotion and play in the Premier League.
“No one can come and expect to play in the team – I will work my socks off and once I am in it is up to me to then show what I do.
“I am optimistic but I need to get bedded in.
“I am coming here to stake a claim to play and get as many games as I can and help the team achieve.”
