Nuno hopes for Wolves team bonding in Austria
Nuno Espirito Santo plans to use Wolves' Austrian getaway as a chance to build some crucial team spirit for the tough season ahead.
Six of Wolves' seven new signings are with the squad for a gruelling nine days of daily double training sessions and three matches, starting tonight against German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.
Nuno has 23 players with him and could unleash a 3-4-3 system it's believed he's been trialling with the squad.
But whatever the result Nuno wants to forge a team dynamic – and he's pleased with what he's found at the club so far.
"The quality is good," he said. "This is the moment to know them better and try to put our ideas into their game.
"Of course this takes time. But this is the right time to do it so we have to be patient and persistent. The players work very hard and are very receptive to our ideas that we have for the game.
"This is a process of growing – each day is a good challenge to grow and get better.
"Everything will be closed, we’ll spend 24 hours a day with the players, it’s like a family being together for 10 days so this can create a really good group dynamic that we want to build."
Nouha Dicko is one of only three strikers in the squad, along with Joe Mason and Bright Enobakhare.
He echoed Nuno's sentiments about team bonding.
"I think the most important thing is off the pitch, the bond we can get with each other," Dicko said of their Austrian excursion.
"I’m not too worried about it because we have good guys around the place here. It’s not going to be a problem.
"Hopefully we can show this on the pitch in the first matches that we are a team and have a spirit."
Jordan Graham confirmed on Twitter that he has knee a slight injury which prevented him from travelling to Austria.
Fans had speculated if he was leaving the club. Graham said: "I got a slight knock on my knee last Thursday so I stayed here. I'm back in training now, all these rumours are nonsense."
