Nuno Espirito Santo's side saved their worst performance of the tour for last with a lethargic display producing only a couple of clear-cut chances.

In front of a small crowd in Schwaz they succumbed to a 20-yard free kick early in the second half, writes Tim Spiers at the Silberstadt Arena.

Nuno made nine changes on the hour mark but only left wing back Sylvain Deslandes had a chance of note as they chased an equaliser.

Wolves lacked the fluency they had shown in victories against Werder Bremen and Viktoria Plzen but almost every player, bar the injured Kortney Hause and spare goalkeepers Jack Ruddy and John Ruddy, got another good run-out.

New £15million record purchase Ruben Neves was handed his first start for the club, as was recent recruit Will Norris who started in goal.

Conor Coady was in central defence alongside Willy Boly and Danny Batth. Boly's inclusion meant he was one of four players to start all three tour games - Barry Douglas, Matt Doherty and Ivan Cavaleiro being the others.

The venue played host to the smallest attendance yet of the tour with only a handful of Jablonec supporters joining around 40 Wolves fans on a humid, stormy evening in Austria.

Wolves were, on paper, taking on the easiest opposition of their Austrian trip - but for the first 45 they produced their weakest half of the tour.

They started okay, with cross-shots from Bright Enobakhare and Douglas held by the keeper. Both players were set up by Neves who was impressive in midfield, pinging around 40-yard passes like nobody's business.

Cavaleiro had looked lively in the first two games and he continued that form here, playing in Nouha Dicko whose heavy touch was collected by the keeper.

The Portuguese winger also played the ball right across the face of goal, only for Dicko and Enobakhare to be a yard behind.

And then Enobakhare wasted the chance of the half when losing his footing after Doherty had teed him up with the keeper momentarily out of his goal.

At the other end Wolves were tested sporadically by their opponents, who finished mid table in the Czech top flight last season.

Jaroslav Zeleny sent a free header over the bar with their best opportunity.

In a change of tack from the previous two games Nuno only made one half-time alteration, sending on Harry Burgoyne for Norris in goal.

After a quiet start to the period and with Wolves struggling for fluency Jablonec took the lead.

Romain Saiss gave away a free kick on the edge of the box - Michal Travniil stepped up and curled it into the corner via Burgoyne's palm with an effort the keeper will have feel he should have saved.

Neves attempted a set piece goal of his own a few minutes later as Wolves looked to respond but his 30-yarder was marginally over the bar.

Then came the cavalry - Nuno made nine changes with only Conor Coady staying on for his second 90 minutes of the tour.

The system altered slightly too into more of a 3-4-2-1 with Connor Ronan and Joe Mason cutting in from the flanks to support central striker Michal Zyro.

Bennett was forced straight into action with a crucial block to deny Jablonec a second goal.

Wolves were starting to enjoy more of the ball again and in the 69th minute they forged a golden opportunity when a ricochet came back to Sylvain Deslandes whose drive across goal was just inches wide.

Connor Ronan was enjoyed another productive cameo and he nearly sent Mason clean through with his pass only slightly overhit.

And with five minutes to go Roderick Miranda tried his luck from 20 yards, drawing cheers from the crowd, but his effort was down the keeper's throat.

But that was that. Despite seeing plenty of possession and producing some tidy build-up play in midfield Wolves lacked a cutting edge going forward and lost their first game under Nuno.

Wolves (3-4-3): Norris (Burgoyne, 45); Batth (Bennett, 60), Coady, Boly (Miranda, 60); Doherty (Simpson, 60), Neves (Price, 60), Saiss, Edwards, 60), Douglas (Deslandes, 60); Enobakhare (Mason, 60), Dicko (Zyro, 60), Cavaleiro (Ronan, 60).
