Ruben Neves injury not as bad as first feared for Wolves
Record signing Ruben Neves won't be out for as long as first feared - and could make his Molineux bow against Leicester this weekend.
The £15million man hobbled off injured during the 2-0 defeat to Shrewsbury on Saturday.
He left the stadium with his foot in a protective boot, sparking fears he could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
However 20-year-old Neves, who took a kick to the calf from Salop midfielder Jon Nolan, is only out for a few days.
In theory he could have featured against Peterborough United in Wolves' penultimate pre-season friendly tomorrow evening, but the midfielder won't be risked.
It's welcome news for Wolves who have recently lost Helder Costa and Ben Marshall to injury.
However another new signing, Phil Ofosu-Ayeh, is still some way off a comeback.
The Ghana right-back arrived at the club with an unspecified injury from his time at German second tier club Eintracht Braunschweig.
He'll certainly miss the start of the season and it's expected he'll be out for another four weeks.
Meanwhile Wolves were today expected to clinch the loan capture of Atletico Madrid winger Diogo Jota.
