Anticipation levels are through the roof at Molineux with new boss Nuno having brought in 11 new players and spent £19million.

Tomorrow’s clash with Middlesbrough is a sell-out and could see Molineux’s biggest crowd for any match since 1981.

Former Porto boss Nuno is preparing to take charge of his first match in English football.

Speaking at yesterday's pre-match press conference, he said: "The players are ready. The quality they have, along with the help from who has been here before, will build a team, not the individual.

"Saturday is the first moment of building a team that we hope will go through good times and improve each day. If you ask me now, we’re OK."

Despite the fact Wolves have signed enough players to make up a new team, Nuno is still chasing another addition with a striker a priority.

A loan move for Southampton youngster Sam Gallagher remains option.

Nuno added: “We are happy with what we have and the squad we have. But in the market you should always be alert and if there’s a chance to improve what we have we’ll do it.

“It’s a club task – everybody is there to do it together."

The 43-year-old has never managed in England before and has signed a host of players who are new to the Championship.

Nuno said the experience of those already at the club had been valuable. “Communication is a basic thing for us. Being able to express your ideas and listen to other people’s opinions because it can be valuable for us,” he said.

“It’s different (for me) because it’s a new challenge. But football is always the same.

“We expect our ideas to be powerful enough to get us through the Championship.

“This is what we think – put our ideas in the Championship.”
