Steve Bull: Victory was all that mattered for Wolves
It was a difficult night on Tuesday but Wolves got the job done and that’s the most important thing.
They started off well with a bright first 15 minutes and looked like they would take control of the game but it didn’t work out that way and it went a bit flat.
The one big positive from the evening was the performance of goalkeeper Will Norris who I thought was outstanding.
He was flying all over the place – I was thinking ‘How did he get to that?’ after a couple of saves.
You can’t ask for anymore from Norris in the three Carabao Cup games. He’s got three clean sheets and if anything happens to John Ruddy it looks like he’ll slot into the first team no problem.
Bright Enobakhare scored his first goal for two years which will be a massive boost for him.
A couple of them will have given the manager something to think about and the good thing was that they rested most of the first team so they should be nice and fresh for Saturday’s visit of Barnsley.
Things are going pretty well at the moment but it’s not the time to get on our high horse and start shouting about. The games are still coming thick and fast and we know how quickly things can turn against you.
Nuno seems to have things under control and the fans are enjoying themselves.
Long may that continue.
