Fit-again Barry Douglas glad to be back in action for Wolves
Barry Douglas believes having a game so soon after the midweek defeat to Sheffield United will stand Wolves in good stead.
Nuno Espirito Santo's team face Burton Albion today before a two-week international break.
And Douglas, who played his first 90 minutes in a month on Wednesday, says there's been no hangover from the United game.
"We were disappointed but before we can even think about it we've got a game to look forward to two days after, so that needs to be nipped in the but straight away.
"It's nice to be back. I just had to be patient and not get too frustrated.
"It was quite an annoying injury that just wouldn't go away. It's frustrating because the team were doing well but it's part and parcel of the game unfortunately.
"I was very close (to coming back, versus Brentford), I think it was the Thursday I trained almost normally but striking a ball irritated it and that put me out for another two weeks.
"It was a weird one, bleeding between the muscle. It was quite complicated and I had to be patient."
"I feel good, even the games I came on. It's just getting back to that condition and the only way you do that is by playing games."
Teenager Ruben Vinagre deputised while Douglas was out – and the Scot was impressed with the Monaco loanee.
"He's a great young talent," Douglas added. "It's reassuring to know we've got that quality in the squad when people do pick up injuries.
"We both need to be at the top of our game to make sure we have a chance.
"You look at Helder (Costa) being back, Ben Marshall back to fitness, there's a lot of quality coming back."
