Wolves' Diogo Jota knock not as bad as first feared
Wolves have been boosted by the news that star winger Diogo Jota’s ankle injury is not as bad as first feared.
The 21-year-old was helped off midway through the first half of Tuesday’s comfortable 3-0 victory against Reading.
The winger could not put any weight on his right foot while exiting the Molineux pitch after what appeared an innocuous challenge. Team-mate Matt Doherty said after the game that an assistant referee told him Wolves’ winger had rolled his own ankle.
But first indications show that the ankle, which was severely swollen after the game, is not as bad as first feared.
Jota has shared an image of his injured ankle following last night’s 3-0 Molineux success against Reading.
He took to Instagram to share an image of his badly swollen ankle and a cut, suggesting he was unhappy that there was no punishment given to the Reading player.
The image carried the caption ‘No words and no card’, while Jota also added ‘Well done boys’.
