Romain Saiss says Wolves’ recovery is vital as they eye up moving a huge step closer to promotion – and the league title – at Cardiff tomorrow.

Victory over the Bluebirds would move Wolves nine points clear of them and 14 ahead of Fulham, who travel to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Saiss was left flat out on the pitch after Friday’s win at Middlesbrough – following his international break exertions with Morocco.

And after Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Hull he said: “It was a hard game last Friday and I think we are a little bit tired so we have to think of our next game on Friday, it’s an important game for us. After that Wednesday (against Derby), it’s a lot of games.

“It was very hard for me because I was sick in the national team so I didn’t play the first game.

“Then after we play at Middlesbrough nine against 11 and it was very hard again against Hull.

“Recovery is very important because the next 10 days are very important for us to get promotion.

“Every team is tired because the Championship is so long and the most difficult league in the world.

“I can’t switch off in the summer because of the World Cup! I have to wait for my holiday but it’s good to play for promotion then the World Cup.

“It’s a dream if you get promotion and make a good World Cup – I’m focused only on promotion and after I’ll time to think about the World Cup.”

Youngster Oskar Buur Rasmussen was Wolves’ saviour against Hull, netting a late equaliser on his Wolves debut.

Saiss added: “You can see every player was good. The substitutes were good and even when the coach calls a young player like Oskar he did a good game and scored, I’m happy for him.

“We concede a second goal so we have to attack again and again to score one goal, maybe two, but I think it’s a good point. We have to stay together and work again, one month more. The next 10 days are the most important.”
