Wolves' Carl Ikeme set for coaching role following retirement
Carl Ikeme is set to be offered a coaching role with Nigeria after announcing his retirement, it has been reported.
The 32-year-old former Wolves and Nigeria goalkeeper announced his retirement on Friday on medical advice after his battle with acute leukaemia.
Mohammed Sanusi, general secretary of Nigeria’s Football Federation, said: “The NFF will find the resources to send Carl Ikeme on a coaching course, and afterwards absorb him into the technical crew of the Super Eagles.”
