Wolves go in search of their first win tomorrow at West Ham United after picking up two points from their first three games.

However Coady says the squad are feeling positive after drawing 1-1 with champions Manchester City.

The 25-year-old said: "We want to win. We’ve got that winning mentality from last season. We want to be winning games no matter whether it’s Championship or here.

“We got out, we do what we do and concentrate on what we do.

“We had a meeting before the Manchester City game and the manager spoke about us having nothing to fear.

“We’re slightly disappointed we didn’t come away with a win. I know that might sound daft but we are. We wanted to win the game, simple as that."

Coady also revealed having Portuguese international shot-stopper Rui Patricio in between the sticks has given the whole Wolves squad a boost.

Patricio pulled off a wonder save against Manchester City to deny Raheem Sterling's long range effort and helped them earn a vital point.

Coady said: "Rui breeds confidence, he really does. To see a player of his calibre coming in. He won the Euros a couple of years ago.

"He’s come here, he wants to improve this club. He’s a fantastic character, he brings a lot to the dressing room. To have someone like him in the changing room is huge for everyone.

“That save? He hit it really well but it was a strange one. He cut across the ball but it was a fantastic save and when you’ve got a goalkeeper like that it breeds confidence. You know when a shot is coming in from 30 yards he’s got a chance of saving it so that breeds confidence."

West Ham will also be in search of their first win tomorrow at the London Stadium having lost all their opening games.

But Coady says the players trust in the tactics of their boss Nuno Espirito Santo - who believes Wolves are improving each game.

The defender said: "We trust what the manger says and we stuck to what we try to do and took a massive step forward against City.

“I thought we could have scored more than one. I think we’ve got to look past that ‘we’re here now’ and all that. We are here, we know what we need to do and we’ve got to take a lot of positives from that."
