Nuno: Wolves beat Chelsea because of their belief

Wolves came from behind to triumph 2-1, with Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota getting the goals against Maurizio Sarri's side.

Chelsea, who took the lead through Ruben Loftus-Cheek, seemed to take their foot off the gas and were punished as Nuno's charges halted a six-game winless run.

"I think everybody enjoyed it, everybody from Wolves of course," said Nuno.

"I think it was a good performance, even in the first half.

"We were behind, but we stayed organised and compact.

"Chelsea have enormous quality – their players and Sarri's possession of the ball is hard (to deal with). It requires effort and running.

"The boys did that. They stayed in the game, even though in the beginning of the second half Chelsea had two chances to score.

"From that moment, I think the team was thinking about going forward - on a rush, disorganised and unbalanced.

"And we kept working. When we got the (equaliser), I think not only me but Molineux felt we were back in the game.

"Credit to the boys for the way they believed and the way they worked, and for the fans – how they became so noisy and pushed the team.

"We got a good performance and good result – and now we have a long way to go."

Jota's strike was his first in the top flight, while Morgan Gibbs-White impressed hugely on his full Premier League debut.

Nuno was delighted with the character on display and added: "It was important.

"Playing against Chelsea and coming from behind, it's great.

"The idea of football of Chelsea is about taking the ball.

"If you want to draw and win and you don't have the ball, you're unbalanced.

"The main aspect is to stay balanced and always stay in the game."
