Nuno's mind solely on Wolves amid Chelsea rumours

Reports have emerged claiming the Blues will sack Maurizio Sarri and target Nuno or club legend Frank Lampard as possible replacements.

But the Wolves boss is not paying attention to the speculation, and his only worry is today’s game against Burnley.

“No comments, it doesn’t mean anything. Nothing, I am here speaking with you,” said Nuno on the reports linking him with the Stamford Bridge outfit at yesterday’s pre-Burnley press conference at Compton.

Nuno has had an incredible impact since taking over as Wolves boss in the summer of 2017.

Last season, he masterminded their return to the top flight as Championship title-winners.

And this campaign he has overseen a run to the FA Cup semi-finals, facing Watford at Wembley next weekend, and a rise to seventh in the Premier League.

When asked if he is happy at Molineux, Nuno said: “I consider myself a happy person, yes.

“Yes, with the problems and difficulties that are involved but at the same time, it is a moment of joy, especially total dedication to what I must do and what we must do to keep on becoming better and growing. Focused.”

Nuno said he was not aware of any interest in him from Chelsea.

The Wolves chief also spoke about whether a permanent deal for top scorer Raul Jimenez is close to being done. The Mexican is currently on loan from Benfica and would cost around £30million.

“It is the same situation. We know we have time to make a decision,” said Nuno.

“We are very happy with Raul with his performances, so when things are done, there will be an announcement.

“But the right moment will be the moment that will involve all the parts, and then we will announce it for sure.”
