Nuno on Wolves defeat: A lot of things are missing

Nuno Espirito Santo says 'a lot of things are missing' from his Wolves side after they carried on their woeful run by losing at Crystal Palace.

A 1-0 defeat courtesy of Eberechi Eze's strike at Selhurst Park made it eight without a win in the Premier League.

Nuno's side have only picked up 23 points from 21 top-flight games this season, and he said: "It was not one of our best performances.

"We came with the expectation to try to improve, to build our game and momentum.

"We were organised in the first half, but not so much in the second half by chasing the result.

"We lacked creativity and speed in our possession and circulation. We lacked passes to break the lines of Palace. We didn't do it.

"A lot of things are missing. A lot of things. We need better performances and better decisions. Everything must be faster.

"The first pass is what creates advantages in attack, but it's a lot of passes sideways and not taking risks, So, a lot of things are missing."

Wolves were again punished for lacking a cutting edge as Eze's shot went through Rui Patricio on the hour mark.

It is one the keeper should have saved, but Nuno insists they must take responsibility for their shortcomings as a group.

"We look at all the players. We have to analyse the game," he said.

"It's not about an individual. It's about all of us. Clearly, we are conceding goals easily.

"We're not making it difficult for our opponents. They have too much time on the ball.

"It's all of us who must commit more for the challenge in front of us, a big challenge."

Meanwhile, Nuno has confirmed Patrick Cutrone is heading out on loan again before Monday's transfer deadline.

The Italian striker is going to Spanish club Valencia – after being recalled from Fiorentina in his homeland earlier this month.

"He was here for a couple of weeks. With the arrival of Willian (Jose), Patrick expected more minutes so he's joining another club," added Nuno.

"I hope things are almost solved. He'll probably join Valencia until the end of the season."
