Wolves Fans' Verdict v Leeds: The positive run goes on!

We ground out the win. Happy with that. Plenty of positives for once.

Without the ball, we played well and only looked vulnerable on set pieces, which there were too many admittedly.

The fluidity of our attack must have confused their defence. Having Traore and Neto cutting inside from wide on one flank and going outside on the other meant we were less predictable going forward.

A big shout out to Jose. The unsung hero. He hardly put a foot wrong. It's a shame Neto and Traore are not tuned into him, had they lifted their head up they'd have often seen him in a better position. It was a shame the two best chances in the first half fell to Semedo rather than Jose.

We did an excellent job of stopping Leeds get any momentum, as we did at Elland Road, trying to win the ball back higher up the field through Neves, Moutinho and also Dendoncker and Semedo, it worked well.

We did have to rely on MOTM Patricio for the clean sheet and the win. He made several close-range reflex saves which could easily have seen our net bulging.

Semedo is beginning to look a good wing-back while Jonny is still short of match fitness, offering little in attack.

Our back three played well except for defending free-kicks.

We know we are far from perfect, so no-one is getting carried away. We give the ball away too easily at times, pass back and become negative too often and waste set pieces.

However, to win a Premier League game, against a decent team, and still have more to come is not such a bad position to be in.

Even after all these years, a Wolves win doesn't half lift my spirits. I've still not grown out of it and have the weekend to keep the smile going.

Back-to-back wins, clean sheet and a good performance all-round.

The first half from us was one of the best I’ve seen this season in an attacking sense. We showed a lot more attacking intent than previous first halves and we were taking more risks in forward areas.

We could have easily been a goal ahead with the Semedo chance but it was great to see players pushing forward and getting into the box.

Neto clearly listened to his mum’s advice as he was shooting on sight all game. I didn’t mind that though because he has the ability to score from range, although there was one time when he should have passed to Jose who was open.

We had some luck with the goal but take nothing away from the original Adama strike. That alone deserved to go top bins. Sadly he hasn’t got his first Premier League goal of this campaign yet but he still contributed.

Individually I can’t think of anyone who didn’t play great. Patricio was man of the match as he kept us in the game numerous times with some very important saves and also claiming the ball late on in a couple of instances.

As a team, though, we defended set pieces poorly and it is something we need to be better at in future games.

It was great to see Wolves carry the second half form from Southampton into this game. The same team and tactics is what all Wolves fans wanted to see.

A very good first half, with Wolves mostly on the front foot in what was an entertaining game. Leeds were going for it too, so there were chances at both ends.

Neto had three long-range shots in the first half an hour and a great save by Meslier kept the score level. Semedo had a great chance to score too. Rui was also called upon to keep Leeds at bay.

I know Jose is yet to score, but he adds a much-needed presence up front and brings more balance to the team for sure. This creates more space for the likes of Neto and Traore. Neto was fast and dangerous and looking to shoot at every opportunity. Traore was quiet in the first half, so we were waiting for him to come to life.

Leeds were on top in the second half, with Rui more than matching their attempts on goal. Jonny was replaced after another fine 60 minutes in his comeback.

Neto chose to shoot, when a pass to Jose would have set him up nicely to open his account. Traore was seeing more of the ball now and brought the game to life when picking the ball up near the byline, just inside Leeds' half. He saw an opportunity to dribble towards goal and after shaking off a few challenges he unleashed a viscous shot which looked destined for the net. It bounced back off the bar, but fortunately bounced back off the head of Meslier into the net. The best assist ever!

It was end to end stuff now. Wolves defence were strong with Coady marshalling well and having a fine game. Marcal didn’t last long as Jonny’s replacement, but Ait-Nouri and Semedo were finding space with the ball to move forward.

Neves and Moutinho were doing the dirty work in the middle of the park. Leeds' biggest threat was coming from free kicks. We didn’t look comfortable defending them, but Leeds couldn’t get anything from them on target either.

Rui made a fine double save. Wolves looked in two minds whether to hold on or attack, as the clock wound down. It ended up to be a mix of both.

Leeds had two more chances to equalise. In particular, Costa should really have done so in added time, but for Rui who saved with his feet. Overall, I think Wolves just shaded it, though no arguments if it had been a draw.

Fine margins indeed. 10/12 points in last four games. Not really playing that differently, but the return of Jonny has been massive for Wolves.

Leeds are one of those 'do not lose against' teams. Despite all of the somewhat misplaced gushing praise of the UK national media, Leeds have now failed to score against us in 180 minutes of Premier League football this season, albeit a tight offside call saving us this time round.

We looked more positive, especially in the first half, and fair play to both teams for producing an exciting game in near 50 mile an hour winds and rain.

We were not afraid to shoot and it was that attitude that won us the game – when Traore has the attitude he had for the goal he is almost unplayable and if the keeper was unlucky he will get no sympathy from me.

The luck was certainly with us but it has been sadly missing for most of the season and it has helped us now take 10 points from the last four games, and takes us seven points behind Liverpool. As I understand it, if we win our next game we will be on the same points total as we were at the same point last season.
