Wolves have room to negotiate cut-price deals for loan trio
Wolves have room for negotiation if they wish to pursue permanent deals for any of their three loanees, the Express & Star understands.
The club have options to sign striker Willian Jose, full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri and midfielder Vitinha in the summer at £22million, £20m and £18m respectively.
But it is understood there is scope to reduce the prices on all those players, should Molineux chiefs feel the fees are too expensive.
Going down that route would place more power in the hands of those players’ parent clubs, but Wolves are not just restricted to the figures attached to their loan deals.
Jose, Ait-Nouri and Vitinha will hope to impress enough over the final months of the campaign to be signed on a permanent basis – potentially for a lower sum.
Jose was signed in January from Real Sociedad but is yet to score in the Premier League, having made eight appearances since coming in from the La Liga club.
Wolves, though, have only lost one of the games the 29-year-old Brazilian has started over the past couple of months.
Ait-Nouri finds himself as the back-up to Jonny Castro Otto at left-wing-back, but the youngster has also enjoyed some impressive performances since arriving from Angers.
The 19-year-old has made 13 appearances in the top flight – eight as a starter – and featured on a further three occasions in the FA Cup.
Vitinha, meanwhile, has found game time hard to come by since coming in from Porto last summer, starting twice in the league.
The young Portuguese playmaker did, though, score a stunner at non-league Chorley in the fourth round of the Cup.
All three players will be looking to help their cause as Wolves – currently 12th in the table – welcome Liverpool to Molineux on Monday night, before the international break.
