Liam Keen comment: Wolves need swift decision on Ruben Neves

No team wants to lose their best player, but Wolves are currently in limbo with Ruben Neves’ future uncertain.

Wolves have always maintained that they will allow players to leave at the right time to further their careers – Diogo Jota is a good example of that – and the club has never stood in Neves’ way.

He was meant to leave last summer but it did not materialise and the player’s professionalism meant he stayed and played a big part last season.

The midfielder has always been set to leave Wolves this summer with one year left on his deal, and that is still the case, but the deal is currently proving difficult to pull off with Barcelona.
