Captains fantastic...who should be next Wolves skipper?
With Ruben Neves' £47m transfer to Al-Hilal now complete, one of Julen Lopetegui's first tasks will be to choose a new club captain for the upcoming 2023/4 season.
Nathan Judah looks at four candidates who could fit the bill:
The next in line - Max Kilman
Kilman was identified as a future captain by former boss Bruno Lage following Conor Coady's loan to Everton last season.
Ultimately Ruben Neves was given the armband, but the centre-back was given the vice-captaincy for the entire campaign.
When Lopetegui took over the reins in December, Kilman was pivotal in Wolves' resurgence and skippered the side as Neves served a two-match ban in April.
This coincided with two huge back-to-back home wins over Brentford and Chelsea - both of which were also clean sheets.
Kilman would be the favourite to get the nod next season, but there are question-marks over his future.
Wolves are believed to be open to offers north of £30m with Napoli and Spurs interested.
