Forgotten Wolves midfielder Hayao Kawabe set for £1.3m move to Standard Liege
Wolves are poised to bank £1.3million from the sale of forgotten man Hayao Kawabe.
The 27-year-old Japan international midfielder is due to undergo a medical at Standard Liege later this week and will depart Molineux after 18 months without making an appearance for the club.
Kawabe signed a three-and-a-half year deal when he joined Wolves from Grasshopper Zurich for £500,000 in January last year, becoming the first ever Japanese player on the club’s books.
But he was immediately loaned back to Grasshoppers and remained there last season, scoring nine goals and setting up eight more.
