Wolves boss Gary O'Neil: PGMOL have apologised for 'non-penalty clanger'
Boss Gary O'Neil has revealed the PGMOL have apologised for Wolves' penalty denial at Old Trafford.
Sasa Kalajdzic was taken out by Andre Onana in the dying minutes of the clash with Manchester United, but a VAR check did not overrule Simon Hooper's decision not to award a penalty.
Now, O'Neil has confirmed referee and current PGMOL Select Group 1 Manager Jon Moss has apologised and admitted it was the wrong decision.
When asked if he was told why it wasn't given, O'Neil said: "I was live, yes. They didn’t think it was a clear and obvious error. But having just spoken to Jonathan Moss, and fair play to him to come straight out, he just apologised and said it was a blatant penalty and should have been given.
