Wolves defender Toti Gomes eager for dream debut
Wolves defender Toti Gomes admits he is desperate to take his chance in the Portugal squad as he waits for his senior debut.
The 24-year-old was called up to the national team for the first time in May and has been a regular in Roberto Martinez’s squads, but is yet to play a minute for his country.
Portugal face Liechtenstein in the Euro qualifier tonight, with Iceland coming up on Sunday, and Toti is ready and waiting to finally make his senior bow.
“It’s been good to be in that environment with the guys, really good,” Toti said. “I haven’t made my debut yet but I’m waiting and will keep working to get ready for when the chance comes. I need to grab it.”
