Garry Huggett in Wales golf call

Former Shropshire & Herefordshire golf captain Garry Huggett has earned his second international call.

The 59-year-old from Llanymynech has been named in the Welsh team which will host the Seniors Home Internationals at Southerndown from September 18.

A third-place finish in the South Wales Seniors at the Rolls of Monmouth over the weekend clinched Huggett's place on the team.

"I was in a bit of a daze when I was told because I wasn't really expecting it," said Huggett, who captained S & H in 2006 and 2007.

"The fact Wales are hosts makes it extra special."
