Tom Matthews crowned Shropshire & Herefordshire Union of Golf Clubs under-14 champion
Oswestry's Tom Matthews is the new Shropshire & Herefordshire Union of Golf Clubs under-14s champion.

Matthews triumphed at Leominster Golf Club, carding a winning score of 79 to claim the trophy on Saturday. He just edged out Horsehay Village's Lewis Jameson who finished second after an impressive round of 82.
Burghill Valley's Morgan Radziejowski beat Lilleshall Hall's Luke Blocksidge to the under-12s crown by one shot at the same venue. Radziejowski carded 85 while Blocksidge took second place with an 86.
Shropshire & Herefordshire's county men's first and second teams both suffered narrow defeats at the hands of Worcestershire yesterday. The first team went down 8.5-6.5 at Bridgnorth while the seconds lost 8-7 at Cleobury Mortimer.
