Great start for Ashley Chesters at Austria Open
A terrific round of 67 saw Shropshire golfer Ashley Chesters finish the first day at the Austria Open in joint-second place.
The Hawkstone Park ace was one of three golfers to card a five under par, two shots behind leader Felipe Aguilar.
Chesters’s round contained nothing worse than a par, with birdies on the first, fifth, 10th, 13th and 18th holes.
Former Ludlow pro Oliver Farr also enjoyed a productive start, finishing joint-34th on one under par.
Chile’s Aguilar carded his best round on the European Tour for 17 months to take a two-shot lead at the Diamond Country Club.
