Meanwhile, Dave Jones notched three for Old Bush, supported by two-goal Luke Cole, Martin Hollis, Leigh Chance, Luke Speed and Simon Sidhu.

Local rivals, Dynamo Dudley and Pensnett Panthers kept up their push for league honours as both made it six wins in seven this term.

Dominic Parker also netted for the Panthers, while James Walker replied.

Dynamo had Joe Lawley converting from the spot to give his side an early advantage at Codsall, before Liam Davies responded to make it 1-1 at the break.

After the interval, Ben Hickman and Leon Naylor gave Dynamo a 3-1 lead, before Steve Bills replied. In the closing stages, Luke McDonnell bagged a crucial fourth goal as Dynamo took all three points.

There was a welcome first point of the season for basement outfit Wyrley Targaryen's as they hit back from 2-0 down at the interval to share four goals at Springvale Steelers.

Bushbury Rovers continued their good form with a fourth league win in six, bouncing back after conceding two first-half goals at home to Black Country Fusion to run out impressive 4-2 victors, with top scorer Kyle Matthews blasting three and one from Simon Stokes.

In the first half, Jon Chapman and Liam Stevens found the target for BCF.

Completing a busy day on the goal front were unbeaten Old Cross Athletic and Whitmore Reans with respective victories over Shere Punjab (7-1) and Pendeford (5-1).

With two games in hand on the top two, Old Cross extended their excellent start to five league games undefeated as Ashley Thompson hit a double, backed by Jordan Anderson, James Lunn, Ryan Long, Jared Kallah and Tyrone Fisher.

There was a top four spot for Whitmore after they chalked up a fourth league triumph thanks to Bursk Omar, Saman Sorchi and Karzan Abdullah (both two).
