The event, organised by the Hagley and Light District Car Club, takes place Saturday and Sunday.

Competitors in the Porsche Club National Hillclimb and the ‘Paul Matty Sportscars’ Lotus series will also be in action at the Loton Park Speed Hillclimb.

The ‘Allswage’ Loton Park Championship for Hagley club members will also take place at the Alberbury site, near Shrewsbury.

The Midland Championship is being held over nine weekends at four venues.

Drivers are marked on their best seven scores based on class finishing positions.

The variety of cars racing include road-going saloons, sportscars, specialist cars and single seaters.

This weekend will mark the second rounds of the Porsche Club series, while the Paul Matty Championship, raced in Lotus cars, will complete two championship rounds.

Trevor Willis has won five from the six rounds so far this year in the British Hillclimb Championship and heads the entry.

Chasing him hard is sure to be the 2015 champion Alex Summers and Will Hall, plus Loton Park regular winners Jason Mourant and Graham Wynn.

Practice will start on Saturday at 9am, with racing on Sunday from 8.30am. Entrance costs £12.50 with under-16s getting in free.
