The Shrewsbury-based star also sits fourth in the 100-500 Allcomers championship.

Price, 48, began practice during a cold and cloudy weekend in good form but after moving up to third on lap four in the 100-500 class, he suffered a low side at the corkscrew and did not finish.

The crash meant he started race two in 18th but he managed to battle his way back up to fourth at the chequered flag.

But it was a different matter in the Forgotten Era as he secured two firsts.

Price went on to secure second and third in Sunday’s two 100-500 races, followed by another two wins in the Forgotten Era.

Shrewsbury’s James Evans finished race one of the Formula 600 class in 15th and moved up four places to 11th in the second. He also entered the Senior Open but after reaching 10th, low-sided which ended his race. Undeterred, he stormed from last on the grid to 10th in race two. Sunday proved to be even better for the 32-year-old as he finished 10th and 12th in the F600 and 12th in the senior race.

Phil Morris, 42, from Bishop’s Castle, came home with two sevenths in the Supertwin class and an eighth and fourth in the Lightweight Open.

Paul Biddulph, 66, enjoyed three second-placed finishes during round four of the Classic 350cc, over-55 years class, at Cadwell Park and still leads the series.
