Having already retained their league title, the Chelmarsh boys saw off Broseley B on finals night to seal a second successive double.

Chelmarsh started the final with a seven-point handicap advantage and quickly extended their lead when Gary Smith took the opening frame with the aid of a 43 break.

Simon Thomas added to Smith’s good work before Eddie Mullard struck for Broseley.

But there was to be no fightback as Chris Lewis and Paul Manning took the final two frames to see Chelmarsh to an overall 112-point success.

Shifnal B hit top form to lift the Consolation Cup.

They overcame a handicap of 84 to beat Alveley B.

Carl Walker and Lewis Round wiped out the deficit in the opening two frames before Beamer Jones extend Shifnal’s lead by taking a tight third clash.

Ian Postans and Mike Mancini then completed an impressive night’s work for Shifnal as they completed the League Cup and Consolation Cup double.

Mancini also had cause for celebration after beating Broseley’s Andy Carson to lift the Eddie Brewer Cup (Under-35s champion).

The match started slow, with a lot of safety play but it was Mancini who struck the first blow.

Carson hit back to level but Mancini responded in style with a 48 break to take the deciding frame.

Chelmarsh’s Mike Rogers also added to his silverware collection. He beat Shifnal’s Terry Askew to claim the Over-60s Ted Heath Cup for the third time, becoming only the fourth player in the league’s history to lift the trophy on three occasions.
