A 4-1 home victory over Unison left Meole one point clear of nearest rivals Beaconsfield A.

Matty Ryder, Ross Corfield and Tom Hancher were on form for Meole with Mel Edwards bagging a consolation frame for Unison.

Beaconsfield maintained the pressure with a resounding 5-0 success at Bagley C.

Steve Adams, Jason Bright, Mike Jones and Simon McLoed secured the whitewash.

Beaconsfield B also tasted success as they claimed an aggregate win away to Harlescott B.

Ian Evans and Ian Ferriday took the first two frames for the hosts, but the visitors then hit back through Chris Harrison and Andy Baron to claim the extra point.

Wem USC A were also 3-2 winners, at home to Harlescott A.

Sam Breakes impressed for the home side with a 35 break. Gavin Tommy added to Breakes’ victory while Tony Watkins and Callum Wraight, with the aid of a 32 break, won for Harlescott.

The other Division One clash saw Unison A edge to a 3-2 win over their B team.

Beaconsfield C and Preston Brockhurst A are still neck and neck in Division Two.

Steve Farmer, Jon Hedger and Mike Ryder fired Beaconsfield to a 4-1 success away to Unison E.

Preston Brockhurst repeated that scoreline at home to Harlescott D.

Pip Higgins got the Brock off to a good start with Arnold Mulligan making it 2-0.

Alan Childs hit back for Harlescott, but Alan Trowsdale then took the final frame.

Meole G moved up to third place following a 3-2 victory at Harlescott E.

Bagley A won 4-1 away to Condover, Meole E eased to a 5-0 at home to Old Shrewsbury while Beaconsfield D won 3-2 at Harlescott C .
