The Tigers followed up their 5-2 victory over Basingstoke Bison in the National Cup on Saturday, when they were low on numbers, with a 5-3 triumph against Solihull Barons in the NIHL Moralee Conference on Sunday night.

And Watkins was pleased to come through the weekend with their perfect record intact.

“Solihull is a tough building to play in and they made it a tough night for us,” said Watkins.

“This was especially hard after the road trip to Basingstoke the night before, when we were playing short-benched and were a little gassed.

"The important thing is that we got the job done and headed home with the points.”

Jason Silverthorn (two), Adam Taylor, Joe Miller and Jack Watkins scored the Tigers’ goals on Saturday, with Silverthorn, Miller, Watkins, Dan Mitchell and Jonathan Weaver on target on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Watkins confirmed he was looking for new signing following the departure of Macauley Halford.
