Telford were notified by the league that they failed to have a non-playing level two coach in charge of the team's bench during the game. The game's result has now been altered to a 5-0 defeat for the Tigers.

A statement from the NIHL LMC confirmed the decision:

"In the NIHL North 1 (Moralee) game between Blackburn Hawks and Telford Tigers on Sunday 22 October, the Tigers breached the IHUK coaching protocols by failing to have a non-playing level two coach in charge of the team bench." it read.

"As a result the match is awarded to Blackburn Hawks 5-0. The league table will be updated to reflect this."

Telford had provided three level two coaches in the game, but as all three went onto the ice during the game, it was classed as a breach of the rules.
