Returning Weaver helps Telford Tigers to big win
Jonathan Weaver marked his return to action with two goals as Telford Tigers thrashed Nottingham Lions 11-2 in their NIHL Moralee Conference clash at Telford Ice Rink.
Weaver, playing for the first time since September 24 after suffering concussion symptoms, netted twice in a first period where his side opened up a 6-1 advantage.
Dale White, Joe Miller, Warren Tait and Corey Goodison also netted as Tigers assumed control.
Jason Silverthorn and Adam Jones got their names on the scoresheet to leave Tigers 8-1 in front at the end of the second period.
Tait and Silverthorn got their second of the night in the final period inbetween a Scott Mckenzie strike.
