Bell returned a save percentage of .912 over the 58 games he played last season, making him one of the best performing netminders across both the NIHL One North and South.

General manager and head coach Tom Watkins said “We all know how important goaltending is in ice hockey and to secure Denis for next season is huge for the team.

“He had a solid season and backstopped us to some excellent results.

"He’s still young, still keen to improve and I’m sure he will have a bigger impact on the team next season.

“I think he gives us a very strong base on which to build from for the 2018/19 season.”

Bell said he was delighted to re-sign for Tigers and to be continuing his role supporting the junior development.

“I’m really looking forward to the new challenge ahead and trying to get some more silverware,” he said.

“It was an easy to decision to come back as it such a great place to be.”

Earlier this week fans' favourite Danny Rose put pen to paper on a new contract to keep him at the club for a seventh season. Rose initially joined Tigers for the 2012/13 campaign.
