The 21-year-old returned to the UK full time towards the end of last season after playing hockey in the USA Eastern Hockey League and joined the Tigers on a short-term deal, making 19 appearances.

Head Coach Tom Watkins said: “Nick came to the team midway through last season and really surprised us. He came in and did a good job for us on the back end, he plays with a lot of passion, has his heart on his sleeve and likes to be in a battle.

"He adds decent size to the team, skates well and can shoot the puck. He is another player who is keen to progress, keen to take his game to another level and is working hard on his conditioning.

"I expect Nick to take up a bigger role on the team next season and be an integral part of our D core.”

Oliver added: “I really enjoyed playing for my hometown club last season and I am delighted to be re-signing.

"The fans create a great atmosphere at our home games, let's hope we can use our experience and young talent to deliver silverware for them.”
