Tigers sink the Sharks
Telford Tigers completed an impressive weekend double by hitting Solway Sharks for six last night.
After winning 4-1 at Blackburn Hawks on Saturday, Tigers made it two NIHL North Cup victories on the spin courtesy on a 6-1 home triumph against the Sharks.
Tigers led 2-0 after the first period thanks goals from Dan Mitchell and Scott McKenzie.
The hosts took the game away from their visitors in the second period with further strikes from Jason Silverthorn (two) and Nick Oliver before wrapping up the victory with a further goal from McKenzie. Peter Gapa scored a late consolation for Solway.
