Tigers who lost 3-2 at home to Basingstoke Bison last weekend in a controversial match will be looking to pick up a couple of wins as player coach Tom Watkins has called on his players to convert the chances they are creating.

Slough Jets currently have one win from their opening four games and sit seventh in the league, while the Sheffield Steeldogs have two wins from their four games and occupy fourth place in the table.

Tigers having only played three games so far are yet to register their first win with their new look roster, and speaking ahead of the games, Watkins confirmed he would be returning to the ice this weekend after recovering from injury, adding, "We will go into the weekend targeting four points, we need to turn the good performances we've had into wins, I think we've played well and dominated teams at points in games but not converted that into wins.

The guys have a responsibility to step up and turn those performances into points, both games this weekend will be tough for different reasons, but we have the ability to come away with the points if we work hard, continue to create chances and be clinical in front of net.

They will both be entertaining games for sure, and we'll be doing everything we can to get a four point weekend".

Tigers home game on Sunday faces off at 5.30pm at Telford Ice Rink, for all the latest information on the club, visit the website www.telfordtigers.co.uk
