The Shropshire thrower will be at Butlins in Minehead from March 7-9, where 138 players are set to do battle live on ITV4 across eight stages.

He qualified in 38th place, largely due to a fifth round finish two weeks ago, recording three third round finishes in the final qualifying events.

Play started on Friday in Wigan where Pallett beat Arron Monk and Stuart White, both 6-3, before bowing out with a 6-2 loss to Kim Huybrechts.

The darters returned to the Robin Park Centre on Saturday where Pallett whitewashed Martin Homer 6-0, setting up Peter Wright in the second round.

He stunned the world championship finalist Peter Wright 6-2, with only two-time world champion Adrian Lewis able to put him out by a 6-3 margin.

Pallett beat Darron Brown and Alex Roy 6-4 and 6-1 respectively yesterday, before a 6-4 defeat to Jelle Klaasen. He banked £250 for each run.
