Telford Tigers handed season's fixtures

A trip to Yorkshire awaits the Telford side on September 13th, while their home season begins against the Bees 24 hours later.

Pundits have rated the Tigers as a likely bet for the EPL title, after a summer that has seen them sign a number of highly-rated players.

Jonathan Weaver, Jason Silverthorn and Sam Zajac are among the new arrivals in Shropshire, as the backing of owners Red Touch Media bears fruit.

Tigers general manager Paul Thomason is looking forward to the new league season – and wants a flying start from his keenly-watched squad.

He said: "The English Premier League is our bread and butter, and it will be the best judge of the team we've put together.

"It has been such a long summer, so to finally get the league season underway is so exciting.

"It is crucial that we put down an early marker against Sheffield and Bracknell, but it won't be easy.

"The Steeldogs are incredibly tough to play against. It will be a similar situation against Bracknell. There will be no easy games for us."
