After eight for David Pallett in PDC qualifiers
Newport's David Pallett is one of only eight players to make both of the PDC's upcoming German and Dutch Darts Masters events.
Pallett's exploits in the two qualifiers kicked off a busy weekend of arrows at the Barnsley Metrodome where he was involved in four tournaments,
The Shropshire thrower first toed the oche on Friday looking to grab a place in Germany, where the action will take place from April 4-6 at the Ballhausforum in Munich.
Pallett produced arguably his best result first up, seeing off formidable world No 18 Andy 'the Hammer' Hamilton by a 6-4 scoreline.
A place in Holland was his one game after that first round success, recording the same verdict against the improving Eddie Dootson to make the cut.
The next challenge was to make sure he went Dutch from June 5 to 7, with the competition to be held at the Evenementenhal in Venray.
Pallett, again entering in the first round as the 20th seed, was pushed by Darren Weaver to a last leg but got the job done, 6-5, in the end.
Once again, the 25-year-old had to battle to progress for the all-important second round clash but eventually prevailed, 6-5, over Jason Marriott.
In possession of a Pro Tour Card, Pallett returned to compete in Saturday and Sunday's first Players Championship events of the year at the same venue.
Winning just a leg in a 6-1 first round defeat to Tim Martin proved disappointing the first time around, but he did rebound 24 hours later.
Pallett brushed off 'the Artist' Kevin Painter 6-4 to enter the money stages but got no further, a 6-0 whitewash to Mike Zuydwijk putting him out.
Still, Pallett picked up £250 to add to his tally which leaves him joint 44th on the Pro Tour Order of Merit and 46th overall.
