A trip to Hampshire beckoned for qualifiers held at the Aldershot Army Barracks and a 52kg clash with Blessed Sithole, from Thanet in Kent.
But Sithole bowed out on Friday night, saving team Davies a trip and allowing Liam walk over to the three-day event at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.
The quarters, semis and final will be staged day-to-day from April 24 to 26 with Davies' old rival Muhammad Ali, from Bury, seeded at the weight.
